For fashion it showed how to incorporate Nautical Themes into your look.

Rocker
Dark colors & heavy metal accents make sailor stripes edgy.

Surfer
Rope trim and bright colors give any outfit a mellow day-on-the-boat feel.

Remember: Any way your want this look blues, yellows, & reds make you seem very sea-worthy.

There was also a section that showed you the best swim suit for your body.

A ruched tube top & A-line tank cover up.

Curvy thighs
Fold over bottoms with draw-string sides & flowy dress cover up.

Beauty explained what ideal product would help give you great summer hair.

Straight / Citre Shine Miracle Split End Mender, drugstores, $4
Wavy / Tresemme 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse, drugstores, $5
Curly / Paul Mitchell Express Style Quick Slip Styling Cream, salons (& some drugstores), $13
Super Curly / Aussie Catch the Wave Mousse + Leave in Conditioner, drugstores, $4
Relaxed / TIGI Rockaholic Born to Rock Leave in Detangler & Defrizzer, tigihaircare.com , $15

HALEY'S TIP: It isn't these products, just that type!

Another hot beauty look is Neons.
It suggests bright shadows, bright peach brushes, and bold berry lips.

MELT PROOF YOUR MAKEUP! (If I didn't get the point across this is important!)
Apply an oil-absorbing gel to anywhere you plan to apply make-up (H2O Plus Sea Clear T-zone Mattifier, h2oplus.com, $17).
Top foundation with a light pressed powder (Maybelline Mineral Power Finishing Veil Powder, drugstores, $9).
Keep oil absorbing sheets with you, just in case. (Clear & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets, drugstores, $5).

HALEY'S TIP: Stick to powders for your foundation and blush. It will keep your make-up from melting & sliding.

On the stands: June 2008 Allure (not a typo)

I don't like Allure a whole ton magazine wise so I didn't subscribe but here is a look at what was in this time last year.

Jessica Alba was the cover model showing off a sultry purple eye with sheer cheek & lip colors.

According to Make up artist Mark Carrasquillo this is how you get the cover look.

Use a purple creme shadow (Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Wild Orchids) and blend over your lid and lower lashline.
Next, use a glowy natural cheek color (Revlon ColorStay Mineral Blush in Golden Rose) and apply to cheek bone.
Swipe a clear balm (Revlon Moon Drops Moisturizing Lip Conditioner) across your lips.

The 'Look Now' portion showed how to get a perfect stained lip.

Take your desired color and apply to your lips. Do not let set, simply take a cloth and dab against mouth until you receive desired effect.

The 'Color of The Moment' is a Sheer Bronze like in Benefit Talk to the Tan & Georgio Armani Bronze Mania Skin Tint.
